One of my absolute favorite clean beauty brands is Badger Balm. I first discovered them on my beginning hunt for a safe sunscreen. I then fell in love with even more of their products.

Why Badger Balm?

I cannot say enough good things about this company. They checked everything off my list of what was most important to me, my health, the health of the planet, sustainability, and cruelty-free. They didn’t check off vegan because they use honey and beeswax, but they do so in a sustainable way. There is a big difference.

Badger Balm is a Certified B-Corporation company. This means they are always making sure their business practices keep the health of the people and environment in line with their mission. They became certified in 2011. Furthermore, receiving 5 years in a row “Best for the world” and “Best for the environment.”

I mean, HECK YA!

They are a small family-owned business that holds a high standard. Here is a passage from their site that shows the standards they meet.

“We only use ingredients that fit our rigorous natural standards for healthy agriculture, minimal processing, sustainable supply chain, and health-giving properties. For example, the organic extra virgin olive oil we use in most of our products comes from a single-family estate in southern Spain, and it is the best olive oil we’ve ever tasted. And, the organic rose essential oil we use in all of our rose products is steam distilled in Bulgaria from rose petals picked the very same day. It takes 5 tons of rose petals to make one liter of this precious essential oil. We combine years of tradition and research with beautiful artwork and lots of love to create products naturally rich in powerful antioxidants and vitamins for healthier people and a healthier planet.”

What are some of my favorite products?

clean beauty product

Sunscreen: I love the clear zinc sunscreen. It is about as clean as you can get with sunscreen. Because it is clear, it doesn’t remain white on you. I will say, it is a little thicker than others and can be hard to wash off, so bring your loofah in the shower.

Beard oil: So loving the beard oil. It smells incredible and doesn’t feel greasy. The scent is bergamot and vanilla. Yum!!! I purchased this and the hair pomade for my husband, and he loves it too!

Lip balm: Another fav of mine is the lip balm. I initially bought a 4 pack. I like to stash them all over. It is too thick where you feel like your lips are coated, and it doesn’t catch in the back of your throat, either. Next, I’m going to try their lip tint.

Others to try: I have heard great things about their bug spray as well. They offer a wide variety of other products you can try. They have body care, baby care, mom care, hair care, facial, sleep, and muscle relief.

I can’t wait to dive into some of the other goodies.

I love teaching women how to transition to clean beauty products.  It gives them the control in knowing that what they use is safe for them and their family.
